Rural Rainbow Project

Metropolitan Community Church of the Spirit is please to introduce the Rural Rainbow Project, a LGBTQ information resource and community building organization for the rural communities of Mifflin, Juniata, Perry and York counties.  The project recognizes that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning residents, their families, and allies of these

areas often experience isolation due to limited resources. RRP looks to offer community by means of a safe, familiar, and convenient environment. The project utilizes the internet by offering links to resources that are available within the local area and forums for discussions around issues presented by the members that participate. The project also seeks to offer information events presented locally by professionals that serve the local communities.  These may include presentations and/or panel discussions around health care, legal concerns, real estate and property rights as well as conversation around spirituality and religion. The purpose of the Rural Rainbow Project is to provide assistance to empower and create community.
